The italian ski resort of Cortina has been selected to host the alpine skiing events for the 2026 Winter Olympic Games. Other snow sports will be held in Bormio and Livigno in the Italian Alps.
The 2026 games will take be taking place from 6-22 February. There will also be a Wionter Paralympics event from 6-15 March.
Italy have hosted previous winter olympic games in Turin in 2006 and Cortina in 1956.
Cortina d’Ampezzo is part of the Dolomiti Superski area in the Northen Italian province of Belluno in the Veneto region. Cortina will also be hosting the 2021 FIS Alpine World Ski Championships.
