The role of a Flexi-Host is to ensure the smooth running of our chalet programme by supporting the other members of the team with day off cover and logistical operations. The role is extremely varied and you will be required to both chef and host within the chalets every week. We require a candidate with previous chalet experience and a can-do attitude. As you will work closely with Ski Cuisine guests and other members of our team in resort you will be required to have strong organisational and multi-tasking skills, be enthusiastic and have a very approachable and friendly manner.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Pre-season set up of the chalets along side the Resort Manager
  • Liaising with the Resort Manager and other members of the team regarding logistical operations and guest information
  • General hosting and housekeeping duties in and around the chalet to cover for hosts days off
  • Catering in the chalets to cover the chef's days off
  • Driving duties including occasional guest driving.Overseeing stock control and deliveries of food, wine, other beverages and linen. Snow clearing, hot tub care and maintenance and vehicle maintenance. 
  • Overseeing any maintenance issues and ensuring they are dealt with efficiently and quickly
  • Being able to provide emergency cover for staff due to sickness or injury

This is a diverse and interesting role that requires organisation, high standards and attention to detail. You are a key, pivotal member of the team and we require people who are flexible in their nature, are affable and easy to get along with.   • To have relevant experience of working within the hospitality industry.
  • The ability to cook to a high standard and have knowledge & previous experience of kitchen hygiene requirements.
  • Have completed a full winter season and experience of working in a chalet.
  • Have a full, clean driving license with at least 3 years driving experience. Experience of driving mini buses or similar size vehicles.
  • Hold a Level 2 valid Hygiene Certificate.
  • Be able to work as part of a team and have a flexible approach to your work.
  • Be willing to put the needs of the guests first.
  • Be reliable, confident and able to work independently.
  • To have an ability to demonstrate excellent customer service skills.
  • Have attention to detail and the ability to ensure that all aspects of chalet presentation remains consistently high.
You must hold a European Health Card, a British passport, UK National Insurance Number and a UK full, clean driving license required. Due to vehicle insurance all applicants must have held a licence for a minimum of 3 years.

About us

Ski Cuisine is a private chalet company, based exclusively in Meribel, France. We operate seven chalets, all chosen for their individual character and style. Our chalets vary in size and can accommodate between 8-12 guests.
