We are a small, family run company looking for a Facilities manager to join our team as a permanent member of staff living and working in Megeve.

Stanford Skiing, a well-established family-run business operating in Megève, France, is looking for an experienced and dedicated Facilities Manager. This is a very rare opportunity for someone to make a career and a permanent home for themselves in one of the most beautiful areas in Europe.
Joining the existing team in France, your duties would cover several aspects of resort maintenance and logistics. You would live in Megève year-round and assist in most areas of operations. To succeed, you’ll need to be flexible, well-organised and resilient with a great work ethic.

-        Taking overall control of ongoing maintenance and renovation schedules for our properties and vehicles.
-        Undertaking routine and emergency repairs all year round
-        Co-ordinating external contractors and undertaking renovation work outside of the main tourist seasons
-        Sourcing materials and supplies locally and from further afield
-        Assisting in several other areas of resort operations including training, chalet setup, airport transfers, basic vehicle maintenance and other odd jobs

Stanford Skiing is the Megève ski chalet specialist. We own two hotels, a chalet and an apartment and also rent several self-catered apartments during the winter season. From December until April, we provide catered and self-catered holidays mostly to English-speaking guests who fly into Geneva airport. We provide airport transfers with our fleet of four minibuses..
In July and August we open our hotels as B&Bs for a largely French-speaking clientele. The summer business is growing and we’re opening our chalet as a summer activities base-camp this year.
Out of season, we take the opportunity to do larger renovation projects; refitting bathrooms, bedrooms, living areas and back of house. We normally take holiday time in Spring and late Autumn.

Start date is flexible.  For the right candidate we could even potentially start this summer if that was of interest.

-        Extensive experience in building maintenance, particularly plumbing.

-        Knowledge of maintenance, repairs and renovation procedures

-        reasonable level of spoken French

-        Experience fitting bathrooms and conducting other property renovation work

-        Experience of seasonal work, especially winter

-        Vehicle repair and maintenance knowledge
