We are a small, family run company looking for a Deputy Resort manager to join our team with a view to becoming a permanent member of staff living and working in Megeve.

Stanford Skiing, a well-established family-run business operating in Megève, France, is looking for an experienced and dedicated Deputy Resort Manager. This is a very rare opportunity for someone to make a career and a permanent home for themselves in one of the most beautiful areas in Europe.
Joining the existing team in France, your duties would cover several aspects of resort maintenance and logistics. You would live in Megève year-round and assist in most areas of operations. To succeed, you’ll need to be flexible, well-organised and resilient with a great work ethic.


  • Run the summer season - includes, staffing, logistics, supplies, delivering the product.  Guests in the summer are mainly french & european so fluent french speaking is essential
  • Working with the Resort Manager to deliver in resort maintenance and help oversee more major projects .
  • Undertaking routine and emergency repairs all year round
  • Being part of the winter management team helping to maintain standards throughout the chalets, motivate staff, manage staff and ensure that our guests have a great holiday.
  • Liaising with our french suppliers
  • Assisting in several other areas of resort operations including training, chalet setup, airport transfers, basic vehicle maintenance and other odd jobs

Stanford Skiing is the Megève ski chalet specialist. We own two hotels, a chalet and an apartment and also rent several self-catered apartments during the winter season. From December until April, we provide catered and self-catered holidays mostly to English-speaking guests who fly into Geneva airport. We provide airport transfers with our fleet of four minibuses..
In July and August we open our hotels as B&Bs for a largely French-speaking clientele. The summer business could be grown and this is an opportunity for you to make your mark on the business.

Out of season, we take the opportunity to do larger renovation projects; refitting bathrooms, bedrooms, living areas and back of house. We normally take holiday time in Spring and late Autumn.
