About Us
www.sunsail.co.ukSunsail Clubs is currently recruiting for Club Vounaki in Greece. Sailing is like the way of life here. The resort offers something for everyone both on and off the water and is the perfect family holiday escape, especially for those looking to learn something new. Our Kid’s Clubs cater for all ages from 4 months to 17 year olds, and our shorebased activities include Tennis courts, fitness Studio and Mountain Biking. We are currently fully recruited for Sunsail Club Vounaki 2011 however we will continue to take applications as there may a possibility of standby / reserve list positions which may be contracted throughout the season. There are no scheduled assessment days at the moment but we may be holding more in February/ March/ April time.
About the Role
Our season has now started but do not worry – you have not missed out! We are still recruiting for our stand-by list. What this means is, should you be successful at one of our assessment days then we would be able to offer you a position to join the rest of our team in Greece, if a position becomes available. This role will require you to travel at short notice so please do not apply for this position if you cannot travel within 1 week. As a Trainee Instructor you will assist with professional instruction to all levels whilst ensuring a safe sailing environment. You will work as part of our watersports team to offer a high level of customer service at all times.In this fulfilling and exciting role you will be assisting in informal instruction through structured dinghy and windsurf courses and weekly clinics for all ages ensuring that guests get the most out of their courses. You will assist on weekly races and regattas. You will carry out beach duties, including rigging and de-rigging of boats and launch and recovery of boats maintaining safety of the guests and craft. As well as running effective rescue boat cover, when qualified.
About You
You will possess:- RYA Level 2 in Sailing
- Powerboat level 2 (desireable)
- Safety Boat Drivers certificate (desirable)
- Knowledge of Health and Safety legislation
- The ability to work as a reliable member of the team
- High Motivation
- Competent swimmer
- Good communication skills- oral and written
- Excellent customer service skills
- First Aid certificate
- Suitable CRB check
