Description
Sunsail Clubs is currently recruiting for Club Vounaki in Greece. Sailing is like the way of life here. The resort offers something for everyone both on and off the water and is the perfect family holiday escape, especially for those looking to learn something new.
Our Kid’s Clubs cater for all ages from 4 months to 17 year olds, and our shorebased activities include Tennis courts, fitness Studio and Mountain Biking. As an assistant kids club manager you would be working with the kids club manager to ensure the smooth day to day running of the kids club.
To ensure the highest level of care is provided for every child from aged 4 months to 17 years. To manage and motivate a team of Activities and Kids Club Assistants. To become actively involved in the daily programme of activities ensuring time is spent in each age group every day.
About Role
Our season has now started but do not worry – you have not missed out! We are still recruiting for our stand-by list. What this means is, should you be successful at one of our assessment days then we would be able to offer you a position to join the rest of our team in Greece, if a position becomes available. This role will require you to travel at short notice so please do not apply for this position if you cannot travel within 1 week.
Key Responsibilities Operational·
· Hands on involvement in the day to day running of the kids club
· Ensuring the safety of all children involved in all kids club activities.
· Produce and drive a fun, varied and stimulating weekly activity programme for the children attending kids club, adapting as and when necessary.
· Help cover numbers on ratio when required.
· Report all issues regarding the kids club directly to the Childcare Manager. Policies and procedures
· Manage the day to day paperwork in the kids club.
· Ensure all staff are following correct policies and procedures as per standards.
· Work closely with the Waterfront Manager to ensure the Under 18 sailing policy is followed correctly.
· Daily staff meetings and de briefs with the kids club team.
· Training and development of all staff within the nursery. Customer service responsibilities
· Daily communication with parents.
· Deal with customer complaints.
Requirements
· Experience with 5 - 17 years olds. (pref Under 5's too)
· Previous managerial / team leader experience
· Relevent Childcare Qualification/Experience
· Competent swimmer
· Sailing experience/qualifications - desirable
· Knowledge of health and safety legislation
· Ability to work as a member of the team as well as a motivated individual
· Good communication skills- oral and written
· First Aid certificate
· Suitable CRB check
