We are seeking to employ Vehicle Movement Controllers who ensure the smooth and punctual operation of our minibuses and coaches in accordance with our published transport schedules.
Main purpose of the Job:
To ensure that vehicles depart on time throughout the day in accordance with the Company's KPI and that all passengers are collected from their pick-up and delivered to their destination on time and safely. To ensure drivers are at collection points promptly. To answer the passenger emergency phone/s and provide resolution to any issue. To monitor each vehicles progress on the Satellite Tracking System and record departure and arrival times. To provide updated passenger information to drivers and airport representatives. To prepare and print out passenger manifests and driver/reps packs for next day operations. To monitor and record driver perfomance to ensure quality standards. To investigate and respond to customer complaints.
As a Vehicle Movement Controller you will be expected to act as part of a team with the ultimate aim of ensuring that all passengers are transported safely on-time, every time, to/from their resort destination.
The Company's bespoke computerised booking, and satellite vehicle tracking system, has recently been updated and we will provide you with the necessary training to become fluent in its use.
You will be liasing directly with driving staff so some previous experience of managing other people is desirable.
Hours of Work:
Vehicle Movement Controllers work on a four-day on, four-day off, roster on a rotating early or late shift pattern.
To be a Vehicle Movement Controller you'll need to:
- Be diligent, conscientious and hard working
- Not be 'work shy'
- Be a team player
- Be a good administrator with an eye for detail
- Be assertive and confident
- Be able to work and function under pressure in a busy office environment
- Be a fluent English Speaker. (Conversational French is an advantage)
- Be a non-smoker
You should also have excellent customer service skills with a professional, helpful, friendly and positive approach.
In addition you must be at least 25 years of age and will require a UK/European passport or a valid UK work visa and a UK National Insurance number and bank account.
