Description

Exceptional Restaurant / Bar Manager required in the Alps this winter.

This role will involve the management of personnel in the restaurant area, including rotas. You will be serving and clearing drinks and meals, maintaining a high standard of cleanliness and excellent appearance in all areas of the hotel and attending to all public areas, the restaurant, bar and terrace.

Bar duties
  • Chat with the clients & make them feel welcome
  • Serve drinks and record sales or take payments
  • Cash up till at the end of the night
  • Re-stock bar as necessary
  • Order drinks required from brewery
  • Carry out regular stock takes and log data onto computer

Restaurant duties

  • Servicing & setting up restaurant
  • Welcome the clients and let them know where to sit
  • Liaise with chef about menus
  • Liaise with manager as to numbers for each meal
  • Lay up tables for appropriate meal
  • Serve meals

Requirements

Previous experience of working within the hospitality industry is desirable.

A good command of the French language will be an advantage.

Flexibility, ability to work as a team member, a good work ethic and a willingness to contribute to the general running of the hotel are essential for this post.
