Chalet Chef

Description

Qualified chef to create superb dishes for our guests. Five nights a week you will be preparing bar snacks and a four-course evening meal for an average of 16 people. On Friday night we offer a buffet-style meal complete with the "wow" factor.

You will only be asked to do breakfast on Saturday morning, then baking for that day followed by a deep kitchen clean-up.

You will be required to prepare a staff meal for four people at 18.00, six nights a week

Our last chef was with us for two years and the one previously for eight. They worked to their own time scale but generally did not start work until 16.00 every day, giving them all day to ski!

You will have others to do the shopping but you need to supply a shopping list twice a week. There will be a kitchen help/dish washer starting at 17.30 and another at 19.00.

The position is available for a single or couple. Our chalet is at the bottom of a blue run so if you are a beginner you must have confidence that you will be able to learn without a nursery slope. We are in a tiny village with only two bar restaurants and no bus service but the compensation is a lift pass servicing 45 lifts and 200km of pistes in Les Arcs.

Requirements

You must be qualified, with good references, and take pride in your work. The ideal candidate should have the ability to juggle requests from guests with dietary requirements with out complaining.
