We are seeking a talented Sous Chef to work closely with the Head Chef in this stunning five star spa chalet. You must be passionate about food with a desire to learn from a talented Head Chef.
With 16/18 guests each week your role is to assist in providing fine dining food from locally sourced produce meeting the personal requirement of the guests.
* Assisting the Head Chef preparing and catering for guest's breakfast six days a week.
* Assisting the Head Chef preparing and catering for guest's evening canapés and a four/five course meal - each night being different and demonstrating your flair and passion for food.
* Catering for children's supper and serving earlier if requested.
* Preparing and serving afternoon tea, cakes and fancies.
* Working with the Head Chef to prepare a menu to fit within agreed budgets.
* Maintaining the highest level of hygiene within the kitchen and ensuring the health and safety aspects are managed.
* Ensure kitchen facilities are in good working order.
* Organising meals for staff six evenings a week.
* Taking instruction from the Head chef to be able to produce food to a high level.
* Reporting any maintenance problems within the chalet. |

* Recognised catering qualification (NVQ or equivalent)
* Minimum of two years work experience preferably within a fine dining environment.
* Teamwork - work closely with Head Chef and other chalet staff
* Flexibility - nothing is too much trouble attitude.
* Customer service - ensuring guests receive the highest possible level, mixing with guests where appropriate.
* Organisation
* Highly passionate and driven. |
