This is one of the most important roles and requires some who can be diplomatic, confident and enthusiastic to our guests whilst having the drive and dedication to make sure our guests receive excellent customer service. You will be responsible for looking after guests, cooking breakfast, a fresh cake for afternoon tea plus canapés and a three course meal each evening.
Responsibilities - Chalet hosts will report to Deb Flight in the French office. Responsibilities include:
* Welcoming new guests to Chatel and saying goodbye to guests leaving the resort on transfer day, helping guests with luggage.
* Looking after guests needs and making sure they are looked after during their holiday.
* Liaising with guests and resort director regarding ski hire, lift passes.
* Organise, order and buy food and cleaning items for your chalet.
* To plan and design your menu on a weekly basis.
* Provide breakfast, afternoon tea, canapés and three course evening meal six days a week.
* Bake a fresh cake for the afternoon tea six days a week.
* Make sure that all guests dietary requirement are understood and carried out. Including an early dinner for children if required.
* Making sure that you have fresh bread for each meal.
* Dining with guests each evening.
* Control of wine stocks, making sure they are stored and re-stocked as required.
* Maintaining your chalet accounts and budgets, providing weekly accounts.
* Keeping your chalet clean at all times.
* Daily care and maintenance of chalet equipment e.g. dishwashers etc.
* Thorough weekly clean of your chalet on transfer day.
* On transfer day sorting dirty linen for collection and preparing the chalet for new guests.
* Be aware and responsible for basic maintenance and reporting more major maintenance to resort director. |

* A minimum of 23 years of age.
* Professional, smart and groomed.
* Excellent customer service skills and the ability to liaise with people at all levels.
* Experience of cooking for groups or dinner parties. (Catering qualifications are not essential).
* Organised, flexible and practical.
* Ability to work to a budget.
* Previous hospitality experience (desirable).
* If part of a couple to be able to demonstrate that you can work as a team.
* All candidates must hold an EU passport and have a UK National Insurance number. |
