SnowChateaux are now recruiting experienced Chefs and Cooks for 2011/12 season!

We are a reputable French alpine chalet company with 10 years experience in a snow-sure resort - La Plagne, France. This area offers good terrain for all standards and abundant off-piste opportunities.

Our company believes in a commitment to service, quality and customer care and we feel it particularly important that we value our team members that value their position with us, as we were also once part of a similar team and now run our own company. We understand that you are the frontline representatives of our business, on a daily basis.

Your primary responsibility will be to maintain a clean and homely chalet, hospitality, service and assistance to guests to ensure their holiday exceeds their expectations.

Generally, our teams are quite small so all staff must be prepared to take a hands-on approach to every aspect of customer service, cleaning, kitchen work, including the washing-up!

Duties include:

1. Assisting in preparing and serving a continental breakfast, afternoon tea, and a delicious 3 course evening meal.
2. Daily cleaning rooms and communal areas with a deep clean every Saturday (changeover day) for anywhere between 5 and 22 guests but an average week is approx. 17 guests.
3. Assisting with the chalet food shopping (with assistance) and stock control.

There will be 2 other chalet hosts working with you to assist in food preparation, food service and cleaning.

Requirements

• Be able to cook to a high standard and deal with catering for up to 22 guests
• You must have extremely high work standards, be customer-focused and self motivated.
• Whilst previous chalet experience is not necessary, it can be an advantage
• All applicants must have a full UK National Insurance Number, UK bank account and Passport.
